Beautiful building and a perfect place to buy something for breakfast or lunch, or to prepare your own picknick.

This is a must see if you are in Valencia. One of the finest markets we have ever seen. Area is spotlessly clean. Fresh food abounds - meats, fish, vegetables, and fruit.

Great food in an impressive building. Great buzz about the place could have spent hours wandering around and spending money. With 3 children under 5 in tow that was never going to happen, but there were sweet treats to keep them happy for a while....More

I love markets and this one is no exception. Take an hour to stroll round and see a multitude of stalls selling everything from fish to sweets. The outside of the building is worth looking at above the entrance, lovely architecture.

Everything we had read about this place was spot on. What a visual delight - the architecture, the space, the array of excellent produce of every kind. A joy.

They definitely sell fartons at the market, but don't know if the market will be open during this time. Some local cafes sell fartons too

If I would have 24 hours in valencia I would definitely see the cathedral & holy grail. The futuristic buildings. Might even have lunch in the restaurant under the opera building. And enjoy Mercat central or Mercado Colon... More
