Standing in the face of history
Sep. 2020
Regardless of religious persuasion, and colored by Hollywood's interpretation, the story of the quest for The Holy Grail has existed for centuries. To finally stand in the presence of Christ's Cup was both humbling and inspiring, as it was in seeing the entire church and its historic treasures.

Within the Cathedral
May 2019
The famous Holy Grail is seen in one of the side chapels of the Cathedral. I was told many Valencian couples want to have their weddings in this side chapel.

Holy Grail-A Must See
Nov. 2019
This is a must see on any trip to Valencia . We came off a Celebrity Cruise and found the chapel in the Cathedral of Valencia . It wasn't highlighted in any tour information we saw. .
We found it to be very inspirational [as we are Christians ].The vocal guide provided when we entered [Cathedral has an entrance fee] gave a brief history as to how it came to be here. A religious experience I will treasure forever.

Very cool, especially the ceiling
Feb. 2020
While at the Silk Market, make sure to go up the stairs to the Chapel of the Holy Grail. The cup of the Holy Grail and the ceiling detail are a delight.

Is this the real one?
Dec. 2019
Definetely the most interesting part of the cathedral visit. At the right side of the entrance there's the acces to this big chapel that shelted, suposely, the Holy Grail. Nobody knows if this cup is the real one but the archaeologists dated its manufacture of the 1st century AD, so, why not?

Should be a "Must-See" in Valencia
Jan. 2020
The Cathedral is beautiful. Although there is some question of whether The Valencia Cathedral actually houses the Holy Grail, it is very moving to consider that it's a real possibility.

Not sure if this is actually the holy grail but definately worth a visit! Allow an hour or more for the whole Cathedral and museum visit, it's a must.

Stands comparison with any I have seen
Nov. 2019
In terms of historic cathedrals this is one deffinately to be on you r list.. The spectacular alter and chapel are worth the entry alone. The commentary is really good and not too long, That and the holy grail, what is not to like!

Invokes silence
Nov. 2019
The cathedral is relatively cheap to access; 5,5€ sans audiotour (though this is recommended as all plaques are in Spanish). There's lots of beautiful paintings to see as well as architecture and the altar piece to marvel at, though the star of the show is of course the Holy Grail. It's in a side chapel near the entrance and surrounded by stunning bas-reliefs (those alone are worth a visit). The whole chapel invokes silence and contemplation, so I'd recommend sitting down for a spell and let the whole thing sink in for a while.
