Beautiful old market turned into food court with a variety of small bistro's and foodshops. Nice neighborhood for shopping and walking around, so Mercado Colon is a great meeting point for a drink or small bite.

While it's name is Mercado Colon this is not a market anymore. You can find bars and restaurants here where you can enjoy a drink and something to eat. There's still a shop in the cellar, the only one left.

This large modernist style covered market w/ 3500 m2 was built between 1914-16 and is located in the upscale Eixample neighborhood just outside the historical center of Valencia. It used to be a traditional market until it was completely refurbished in 2002. The place has two elaborate brick facades each w/ two turrets featuring colorful ceramic decorations depicting country life... More

Four of us came here for a quick lunch. We sat 'outside' and had delicious sandwiches and snacks. The whole feeling of this refurbished market is one of space, elegance and style. There are lots of elegant, almost Gaudi-esque touches in the décor. So glad we took the time to visit.

Much more relaxed than the Mercado central for example since it only (nearly) consists of restaurants or little cafes. Perfect to just sit down and enjoy something.

This is a really nice building. Take a look around inside and outside, and use both exits. A lot of nice places to sit and eat. We enjoyed an iced Horchata and the WiFi 😊

We headed over to this Mercado when it was raining as we knew it would be indoor. Different to the other Mercados we visited as it is made up of more restaurants on the ground floor and then shops/supermarkets in the basement. Found a great spot for lunch and to linger for a few hours to say the least!

This market from the booming era of Valencias bourgeois expansion was closed and almost left to deteriorate in the 1990s, but it has been saved and converted in to the framework of cafés and gourmet restaurants - but even without the delicious content, it is a beauty, modernist in the Spanish way, influenced by Gaudi, but something in itself, with... Went there for lunch had sangria and tapas good flavors. Kind of a slow service, but since we weren't in a rush and it was a nice day we didn't mind.
