It's a small museum and the entry cost is €3.50 which I thought was a little steep, but it is worth a visit. There is something awesome about seeing such a well-preserved structure which is literally 2000 years old. I also found the crypt pretty...More

While I did know that the Punic Wars occurred after Alexander the Great and before the beginning of the common era, I got a very good history lesson at this wonderful, little, under-rated museum. While not large, it is very well done and a great...More

Despite it's small size this cleverly designed building encompassing a section of the Punic city walls manages to give an excellent impression of the size and scale of the fortifications which must have been a formidable sight to any enemy. Not impregnable though as the...More

I came across this museum by chance and decided to pop in. You get to watch an introductory video explaining the history of the time when the wall was in use and its importance to the city - in Spanish or English. I was on...More

The Spanish have done an excellent job, all things considered financially, of preserving and displaying the city walls of Qart-Hadasht as well as a medieval burial chamber nestled next to the Punic wall. The video gave an excellent, succinct history of Cartagena from its founding...More

Wow! This is a wonderful and brave piece of museum/preservation. It is strikingly modern but also conjures up the look and feel of the original wall. Like many others in Cartagena it is a brilliant historical presentation.

This was the first of our trip around the roman ruins as this was across the road from our hotel. The couple running it were extremely helpful in helping us sort our entry tickets out for the places we wanted to visit. The site itself...More

This museum is small but displays some really nice relics. You begin with a short film (available in multiple languages) about the history of the area before moving through the museum itself. Sections of the Punic wall and an amazingly well preserved crypt are the...More

Interesting small museums with a video giving the early history of Cartagena (in any language if you ask at the desk). Sections of the Punic wall are in situ with a good description of their construction. The is also a small catacomb relating to a...More
