Very quiet, but is this the smallest bar in Spain? Brilliant.

Our main purpose for being at Los Nietos was to catch the lovely narrow-gauge train to Cartagena, some 20 kms away ( only 2.70 euros return - such value) We parked at the large Los Nietos Pescadaria station carpark (free) and prior to our train strolled down to the beach which was clean and almost deserted. It was 12.30 on... More

Lovely sandy beach on the lagoon side of Mar Menor , really warm water. This is an old Spanish resort and is only busy at Easter and August. In September it was an absolute ghost town . Easily accessible by train from Cartagena

Los Nietos is a quiet fishing village, frequented by some foreign tourists, and a lot of Spaniards from other areas, who have holiday homes here. A great place to relax and unwind. The beach is well maintained and there is a walkway that extends for several kilometres, before leading you to the more wild paths of the conservation park.

Lovely shallow beach, ideal for families..clean enough and never busy, lovely promenade. Absolutely NOTHING around it except 1 restaurant. No shops, bars etc so come to enjoy tranquillity and go elsewhere for anything else!

We read several articles online about Los Nietos and as we staying in Cartagena thought it would be a nice trip out. The train ride is good for €2.70 return (station is round the corner from the main station, next to the main bus station) as you see some interesting countryside. However when we got to Los Nietos we wished... More

This beach and area is fantastic for you children as the water is shallow and no waves, the beach is cleaned daily and Jelly fish nets are inlace during the summer, there are lots of Bars and restaurants in Los Nietos that all see good food,

Los Nietos is a quiet area, the beach is very sandy and the water is very warm as it is on the Mar Menor, an inland waterway which is nearly completely separated from the Med.

Taking a trip up the coast from La Manga, good route to take, roads good, flat roads take you through here and off towards San Javier....
