This elegant building is in the middle of Retiro Park and holds temporary exhibitions. Admission is free during our visit.

Walking through the Parque del Retiro, we came across this old but impressive building. It seems to house art exhibitions so in we went. The art we saw would not be to everyone's taste, but it was good to wander around. Even more so when...More

We stopped of here when walking through the park and there was a very cool funky exhibit by the Spanish artist Esther Ferrer which was pretty neat. She was actually there at the moment we were which made it even more special. Worth it.

Like the Crystal Palacio give this one a miss too. Art..... chairs sitting in middle of floor. Half empty glasses of water... and then toy gun penises...... the mind boggles

The building is OK, a large neoclassical, red-brick-and-tile building. Whether you like it or not will really depend on what exhibition is being shown. We saw the Esther Ferrer exhibit there (free entrance) and I can say I am glad I did not pay to...More

Also in the Parque del Retiro is this Palacio des Velásquez. Beautiful architecture and I was surprised that this expo is free. I did not know this artist so it’s great to see her work. I love the piano painted with texts and words.

The exhibition at the moment is by Esther Ferrer and has a number of focusses the main ones being the artist's aging naked body and face and rather bizarrely sequences and patterns made by prime numbers. Some of the art is interactive and at least...More

This is a fantastic building currently being used as a modern art gallery , personally I found the building to be more impressive than the contents, the Griffons either side of the entrance are wonderful as is the brickwork and structure

Nothing to get excited about. The building is a leftover relic from the past with little architectural value. I respect the artist but her work just doesn't contain that bit of humour to tilt the bearable lightness of being to a higher level.

Not worth seeking out, not a very inspiring building inside, but attractive from outside, used for exhibitions. Nice big display area though, better off going to the Palacio de Cristal, across the way.
