Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The name comes from the beautiful and historic church that presides over this square. Both the Maravillas (Malasaña) and Chueca neighborhoods have improved tremendously in every way in the last 25 or 20 years. We love walking through this square and surrounding streets, it has a lot of life at all hours, variety and quality in the bars, cafes and restaurants. Many stores, especially clothing. You can perfectly dedicate a day to this neighborhood and it will give you time to enjoy what you can.

Lots of outdoor tables for food and drinks.
Great fun to enjoy the sun, people watching and relaxing...
My favourite eatery Miss CHIEN. Good prices too!

The Plaza de San Ildefonso is great! It is right in the University district and has some restaurants. Overall, it is just a lovely square.

My twin brother Stephen and I always make a point of visiting Plaza De San Ildefonso, its one of the most vibrant squares in Madrid, its only small but cute ,theres some great pubs, bars and restaurants in the square, theres the evocative looking Iglesia De La Ildefonsa which dominates the square it's just a cool place to unwind in.
We were here on a roasting hot Wednesday afternoon, we got a table outside Miss Chez Restaurant, ordered vermuts and chilled out, there was a street singer here who played the guitar really well, square was packed, atmosphere so good, you feel your getting the true Madrid experience, it's such a locals hangout, architecture here is also first rate and it's in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants .
Well worth checking out if your planning a holiday to Madrid.

Plaza de San Ildefonso is a little and bohemian place located in the center of Madrid (near Chueca neighborhood), where there are a lot of restaurants with terrace and a little shops, where you can buy typical things for tourists.

Plaza De San Ildefonso is a square I know I'm going to be visiting on any holiday I take to this most beautiful of city's, its a proper locals square with the vibrancy that Madrid is justifiably famous for.
The square itself is lovely, superb architecture forms the square, the most distinctive and important building on the square is Iglesia De San Ildefonso,a truly beautiful church ,my twin brother Stephen and I got here late at night ,square was busy, a great atmosphere, we enjoyed beers sat out soaking up the great vibe in this busy and bustling square and district of Madrid ,loved it here ,had a great time before we moved on, all in all its a great square to check out if you're planning a holiday to Madrid.

Plaza de San Ildefonso is quite a lovely square with several cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy some relaxing time at outdoor seating areas and watch the world go by. There is a church there as well, although not the most beautiful we have seen.

On a roasting hot afternoon we were exploring the neighbourhood around Malasana when we chanced on this great plaza and what a find.
A pretty little square with some amazing cafes and bars in including Bar Sidi,La Bicicleta Cafe,Creperie La Rue and many more, there's some great shopping outlets here also including Mercado De San Ildefonso and a great looking church called Iglesia De San Ildefonso which easily dominates the plaza.
We visited a couple of cafes out here ,the whole plaza was bouncing and we had a great time.
Very easy to locate in the Malasana neighbourhood and well worth checking out.

A short walk from the central and live part of Madrid, where the old fascinating building of the last century are, this small square is a peaceful place where the the ordinary life deploys. Nothing special to see, I was there in the morning, next time I will try a restaurant here, far from the more touristic and crowded places
