We have traveled a lot but never taken a Segway tour - for now on we will whenever possible! We only had one day in Madrid so we took a 2-1/2 hour tour (reserved in advance) and there could not have been a better way to see so much of the city in such a short time. Luis was super... More

My friends and I did a 90 minute segway tour with Daniel and we had a great time. Daniel was great! He was informative, knowledgable, friendly and funny! I would definitely do this segway tour again. And I would recommend others to do it also. The price was great! I highly suggest doing the 90 minute tour because it gives... More

We had a tour with Daniel to the Casa de Campo. I chose this because we were with two teens (13 & 16) who had never been on Segways so it seemed less busy that some other options. It was fantastic! Uncrowded and beautiful, Daniel was a great leader and we had so much fun just seeing the beauty of... More

We did the 2 1/2 hour segway tour with Daniel as our guide. He was very informative without information overload. We did this tour on our first morning which was a great way to get our bearings and to decide what places we wanted to revisit later. Another good point was this tour included a light tapas snack at Mercado San... More

Me and boyfriend went on a tour with Carli today he was absolutely fantastic! told us lots of facts about the buildings and areas of Madrid city centre. He was very helpful with me as I was a little scared of going on the Segway but he made me feel at ease! The man who was in the office was... More

Great way to spend a couple of hours seeing the sights in Madrid. Not too many people to dodge in March but imagine it may get more difficult in high season. Gùdes really friendly & informative.

Luis was knowledgeable, understanding, and great at showing the sites around the Palacio Real and Museo de Cerralbo. You get about twenty to thirty minutes before the tour starts to learn how to ride the Segway before the trip starts, so if in a larger group, let those in your group that will need the most practice, go with your... Dani took us on the 90 minute tour through Madrid. He did a real good job telling all there is to know. He took enough time to explain the handling of the Segway so we did not have to bother on that so we could enjoy the trip.

We are big fans of Segway tours and take them whenever we go on city breaks. This tour was great as only 4 other people were on the tour with us and we had a mix of street city riding and faster runs along the river. We chose the 90 minute (southern) blue line which avoided duplications of attractions seen... More

I was visiting Madrid and decided to book on a Segway tour with Madrid-Segway. My guide was Carlos. He spent a few minutes allow by me to familiarise myself with the Segway which I managed to master fairly quickly. We then set off and visited a number of sights and stopped while Carlos gave the group some information about what... More

Staying in Centro

Neighbourhood Profile
Centro
Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street performers, colorful lights, window shopping, restaurant signs promising the best paella, ham, and churros con chocolate- this is downtown Madrid, a collection of plazas interconnected by a network of side streets. Some of these side streets are wide pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as desired. The iconic Puerta del Sol is the giant crossroads of the city and a must-see attraction at any time of the day. The nearby Plaza Mayor, completely enclosed by historic red buildings, is an ideal place to grab a bite to eat outside, amidst scores of tables and people out for a stroll. Plaza Isabel II (also known as “Opera”) is smaller and a good meeting spot, and the stately Plaza del Oriente is the front yard of the Royal Palace. Centro can be touristy (pickpockets are unfortuately not unheard-of here), crowded, and sometimes gimmicky, but it is also the place to experience classic Madrid.
