San Anton market (28004, Calle de Augusto Figueroa, 24B, 28004 Madrid) Located in the centric quarter of Chueca and with 70 years of history, this impressive three-story building, known among the locals as Mercado de San Antón, has grown to become one of the most...More

We visited the market on a recommendation from a friend and it was great to have a walk around. We went and had lunch and cocktails on the roof top which was lovely and really enjoyed our visit. Would recommend

The first floor as the fresh food options, second floor has the tapas type options with some side bar seating options, and the terrace is a full restaurant with a great view. Not bad pricing for any of the floors.

A very large variety of tasty goods & foods. We visited at noon and it was relatively quiet. Looks like a great place for dinner or an evening drink.

I liked this market better than San Miguel's. The quality of the food was better, the majority of the people in San Anton's Market were locals and not so many sellers around. I felt safer in san Anton's Market. Also they do have a nice...More

The variety of food is stellar as is the quality of food. Similar to San Miguel, just in a warehouse with plenty of seating. I sampled the croquetas and the bacalau and was blown away by the quality. It is quite busy later in the...More

Madrid has a culture of rooftop bars, but this is a good one. They even make cocktails to order. Lovely vibe.

In short, this is not a big mall, very stylish with small markets and restaurants. The one that I have checked is Japanese bar, with a big selection of sushi, ramen, and legit Japanese drinks straight from Japan like cold green tea. The sushi is...More

This place is ideal if you want to try some tapas on the go. A good selection of restaurants selling also Japanese, Peruvian etc food. Not the cheapest option though.

Chueca
Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where
many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where
the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and
people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main
thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is
Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables
serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture
of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses

You can buy Jamon from inside the market. I cannot help with the cost sorry. I thought the market was a little expensive for tapas (I was on a budget too!). Having said that the food there looked and smelt really nice. I... More

It is just a food market with restaurants. I have surfed the web and note that the restaurants are open all year round.
