Casa de Campo is very big park that houses a small lake, an amusement park, a zoo, restaurants and dozens of miles of trails and closed off roads where you can ride a bike or run. The lake is in the part of the park...More

Humongous park, Aparently the largest in Europe, Some fantastic walks in here complete with zoo and boating lake. On the down side not very well signposted when inside the park.

Casa de Campo is the ideal place for a sunny walk, even in winter it's quite beautiful to stroll around the frozen lake. You should come prepared and enjoy a picnic. For the runners, is also a very nice place to go for a run.

Can't fault the park for the weather, it was 100+ degrees when we went. However, it was essentially a massive acreage of trees that looked like they somehow were placed in the middle of a desert. We saw one rabbit in terms of wildlife; i'm...More

Nice place to spend a day or afternoon. You can take a cable car ride, which will take you to a higher altitude and provide you with very nice views of the city.

I didn't see a swimming area in the lake itself, but there is a fabulous open air swimming pool right next to the late at the back of the Lago Metro station. it costs €4.50 for the day and well worth checking out.
