I am usually a bit wary of zoos but thought this one was excellent on the whole. The enclosures were large and clean, with shade and plenty of water provided for the animals during the hot summer months. The animals were obviously well cared for,...More

The zoo is easy to get to via the tube system and covers a very wide area. It is quite expensive but as we'd made the journey we couldn't really turn back and we actually spent the whole day there so it was worth the...More

This is a very big park with a lot of nice animals, but take into consideration that if you travel with small kids, use good shoes in terms of all the walking. Now, it was very hot and the beach park and the water attractions...More

The animals look dead and the zoo conditions are horrible. The animal's cages could use some more care. The transportation to and from is far and it is extremely slow. Waited 30 minutes for a taxi and ended up walking since no taxi showed up....More

Its a big zoo with some lovely and special animals. The birds and dolphin show was also fun, the sea lion not so much for someone who doesn't speak Spanish. One thing was irritating during the show though. They have background music and someone who...More

On a recent trip to Madrid this was always on the list of things to do and it did not disappoint. Its a massive site with a vast range of animals to satisfy everyone and provided a nice tonic from the bustle of the city.

Really good zoo on the outskirts of the city. We walked from the centre which took just over an hour but is easy to get to via the metro. Would definitely recommend coming to see the dolphin show definitely the best part of the experience....More

Got the bus from near the Royal Palace, takes you to the zoo entrance. Wide selection of animals with a number of shows. Saw the seal show which was really good.

Sorry can't help directly. We went in the day. Everything was in Spanish and no guided tour seemed to be offered. Perhaps look at local tour companies which might offer this. Opening times are on the zoo website. Google... More
