I went without much expectation and was very pleased with the experience at the place. Some art shows, food and an entertaining experience for the family.

I guess I should have googled activities before going. After a very long walk in Madrid Rio, here was absolutely nothing at the Matadero. Nothing to eat, nothing to drink. Nothing.

The old slaughter house with a typical industrial arquitecture was transformed into a cultutal and social center in a very clever way. Has a movie theater, restaurant, theater hall, library an indoors playground. You can walk to the river with outdoors playgrounds and bridges.

This is one of the new vibe places in Madrid. With many different areas you may always find an exhibition, theatre play, nice food and some parade.

it's a beautiful park and it's surrounded with good buildings. It's good to visit, but take care with the hot, in May the hot was too hard

Quite a large complex but not much to see unless there is a special event, which I understand they have frequently. Unfortunately for us nothing much was going on the day we went. Good spot to ride bikes or skate!

Nice location for small events such as a film festival. The history of the place is original. Easily accessible.

This is a great example of how to re-use a horrible place and make it great. The Matadero now hosts a wide range of activities centered on culture and art, what a great way to regain a part of the city which was horrifying in...More

A nice place for culture and arts exhibitions. I believe this used to be a slaughter house but they have put it to good use
