We returned to this plaza several times. It is conveniently located between the museum district and Plaza del Sol. Lots of outside tables and a fun place to sit for a drink.

Santa Ana is one of my favorite plazas to relax and drink good beer. Many cafés have a selection of non-Spanish beers, which makes it particularly appetizing. I also love the atmosphere of the plaza, particularly when illuminated at night.

Plaza de Santa Ana is situated very close to Puerta del Sol and contains the Theatro Espanol. It has many hotels, cafes and restaurants around it. It's a beautiful place to sit and think about the writers like Lope de Vega who used to sit...More

Years ago my daughter and I discovered this plaza down the street from our hotel. It is beautiful and in the center of everything. All the little side streets are packed with tapas places. I could spend a lot of time just in this area...More

It was amazing to see the transformation of the plaza from one day to another. When we first arrived, it was pretty empty. A couple of days later it was full of life with restaurants setting up outdoor seating.

We read that this was SUCH a beautiful plaza. It was ok, full of outdoor tables. Nice streets around it. Wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

This was my go to spot food, drinks or a little siesta. This plaza is located in Las Letras and is quite close to both Gran Vía and Sol, what sets it apart are a couple of things; 1) Less touristic, more Spaniards hang out...More

Nice plaza in Madrid. I enjoyed eating tapas, an excellent bacalao, and very good wine of the house in one of the plaza restaurants. Great for nightlife and peoplewatching during summer, beautiful building and house aroung it.

They're all ok... Depends on how you like tapas or if you prefer raciones. I like the tapas at Lateral but the service sucks big time. If you feel like eating tapas somewhere else you can go to other places near Sol, like... More

We had dinner at one of the restaurants on the plaza (don't remember which one, but facing the big hotel it was on the right side). I had delicious grilled salmon and a salad. There are lots of "simple choices" with fish or... More
