The place caters for the locals. It was too crowded and there was threat of picpockets because of close body contact constantly banging into people. Unable to relax there. Maybe it would be better to visit not during the peak season or bank holidays.

This is where you'll find " Mercado de San Miguel" with its vibrant ambiance, fun people and the best tapas in the world! I could have gone there for dinner every day but of course, I had to try some other places! Just Wow!

This is a "must" if you visit Madrid. Here, you can feel the pulse of the city with shopping , restaurants, wedding parties. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours here while you soak up the flavors of this vibrant city.

collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so
it's possible to duck in and out of the bustle as

Plaza Major is a square where you can eat/drink at various different bars/restaurants right in the middle of Madrid. There's so much to do near here I would definitely include it on any Madrid list
