Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Parterre del Retiro is located on the west side of the huge Retiro Park.
The entrance is through the monumental gate of Felipe IV. The rectangle garden forms an axis that runs from the Cason del Buen Retiro to the Fuente de la Alcachofa and the Estanque Grande.
The Parterre garden is very similar to French gardens. The symmetrical arrangement of the garden, fountains, sunken areas, and other ornaments follows the aesthetic of classicism.
The Parterre is one of the most visited corners of Retiro Park.

Plaza Parterre is one of the nicest areas in the park. Open, well taken care of, clean, it offers the nicest "way out" the park.

Inspired by the gardens in Versailles but obviously on a much smaller scale Parterre Del Retiro is a nice garden area in Parque Del Retiro ,not as much frequented as the park area around the artificial pond it is still a beautiful spot ,nice well kept gardens, cool statues ,an ancient tree and very tranquil, it's a cool place to visit in what in my opinion is Madrids greatest attraction namely Parque Del Retiro.
Well worth checking out if your planning a holiday to Madrid.

Although on a much smaller scale Parterre Del Retiro is a lovely little park area inspired by the magnificent Versaille Gardens, well kept with statues and water features ,it's an oasis of calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the more touristic area's of Retiro Park, well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to the most famous park in Madrid.

Parterre del Retiro is beautiful. In fact we found everything in Retiro Park to be quite magnificent and this one was no exception. It was set up in the early 18th century and it later acquired a French outlook. You can't miss it if you visit Retiro.
