Nice place in the center. Lots of different stalls with tapas fruits and drinks. Crowded for most of the day. Bit pricy and touristy compare to other places but quality is also very good.

Seriously, this place is full throttle excitement for a foodie. I have to admit, the food I had in Barcelona's market La Boqueria was tastier, but I was still running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Absolutely gorgeous glass-walled market filled with...More

Plenty of food, drinks to relax for a bit after a nice walk in the city. Food and spices for sale also, and free WiFi. Any trip to Madrid deserves a visit to this market

As a Londoner, I would liken this to Borough Market but cosier. Great variety of delicious food and drink, all fresh and well priced. You’re really spoiled for choice!

If you have ever visited Faneuil Hall in Boston, this reminded us of it. There were a variety of stalls that offered great tapas to try, along with a variety of beverages from coffee, beer, wines and other alcoholic drinks. It was a fun place...More

We had "dinner" with two friends in this Mercado. it's a small market, mostly touristic but there were also "locals" eating and drinking, so quality is good also for Spanish people. several stands where you can buy any kind of tapas, fresh fish or meet,...More

Beautiful structure and atmosphere. Loads of different choices both Spanish and international. If you manage to avoid the noon/early afternoon crowds I'm sure you'll enjoy tasting different things!

Expansive plazas, local and foreign crowds, street

collection of plazas interconnected by a network of
side streets. Some of these side streets are wide
pedestrian shopping routes, and some are hidden, so

There are. However you need to pay 50c if you can’t show a receipt from one of the food stalls. So after you buy something keep the receipt. They were clean and well maintained.

This is not somewhere for "dinner" where you sit down like a restaurant. This is a an indoor market. The food is collected by you from the stalls around the hall. It is usually open in the evening and I'd guess it will be... More
