We were a group of 5 and decided to visit the Muga winery on January 31st, 2017. We made reservations for the 11:30 tour, but unfortunately arrived a little late due to unforeseen weather conditions. Upon arrival, we were quickly incorporated into the group. The guide (Carmen) was very professional and knowledgeable about this family-operated business and the region's wines.... More

Nice tasting, great wines and very affordable tasting prices. Muga wines are among my favourites and the tasting space was very nice.

Bodega Muga was excellent and a must visit. It's big but they do it very well. The woman conducting the wine tasting was so friendly and very interesting. We loved it. The wine was fabulous. They were also more generous than other wineries with their tasting portions for which we were grateful. Bodega Muga is highly recommended.

This is a big production winery. Lots of tour groups. Good tasting room that offers cava, white and reds to taste. It a fun environment, one of several wineries we stopped at in Haro.

We already loved Muga wines so we thought we would take the English tour of their winery during our recent visit to Rioja. We were pleasantly surprised. Despite being a fairly large operation, the entire experience felt like a small family run winery. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor that made the whole... More

Our group closed out the winery for the day, enjoying their six-wine flights, including sparkling, white and four reds -something for all tastes. Carmen did an outstanding job attending to us and giving us information about the winery, its history, challenges and production. A lovely way to wrap up our day of touring the Haro wineries!

We had a very enjoyable visit by a very enthusiastic lady called Carmen. It was interesting to see everyone in the winery hard at work as it was the first week of October. Also saw the barrels being made. Of the two tastings I preferred the white wine. Cost of visit 10 euros each and you got to keep the... More

Muga was the third and final winery we visited in the region and this by far, had to be my favourite – in terms of the tour and the tasting – even if we were sampling wine at about 11:15am! Our guide's English was good and she was so informative, making the tour that much better than some of the... More

We booked the tour a week before we arrived in Haro (10 euros each). Very knowledgeable English speaking guide and a modern winery. Well worth a visit.

For 7 euros you can taste 5 wines and 1 cava. If it is not the only bodega you visit on this day this works very well for 2. Just step in and ask for tasting at the bar. Cava and white wine were ok but nothing extraordinary. Rosé was good (I am not fan of rosé wines) and all... More
