A very quaint chapel that we decided to walk to from Mainstreet. There is a bus that takes only 10 minutes otherwise. Not a typical ornate church as you expect on the continent. However the history of the statue is compelling.

There was a lot of building going on when we were here but the Shrine is absolutely beauful, standing magestically out above the fray

The road that points to the shrine is closed and you have to walk up the path that is MOD and says no access. Was confused instantly. Then we get there and it’s a Sunday and it’s closed.

Peaceful and welcoming. Mass said regularly in English. The statue of Our Lady has survived for centuries.

We had our wedding here and could not have been happier with our big day. It's in a beautiful location and the parish priest and peopple were nothing short of wonderful. Well worth a visit.
