This free museum gives a fascinating insight into the history of the local fishing industry. It charts the progress of the industry, and has wonderful displays showing the processes involved in canning fish, with photos of the huge numbers of people, mainly women, involved. There...More

Lovely aquarium with local marine species. The museum itself is also interesting, although it would be better with more english captions.

Went to visit the museum whilst staying in Vigo. The building is really cool and the views of the bay and coast are fantastic. The museum is bigger then I thought and has many exhibitions-definitely worth a visit.

We loved every aspect of this charming museum, especially the museum cafe, which had lovely views and charming and enthusiastic service. The only pity was that the place was virtually empty even on an August Bank Holiday Saturday (and that moronic cretins had sprayed graffiti...More

It's definitely worth the travel (by bus 2.64€, 2 tickets of 1.32 each). I went early so the light was beautiful, didn't go inside because I wasn't interested in the collection. But the building is beautiful, well placed and harmonious with the environment.

The setting at the sea edge is great as are the 3 modern building structures (if you like that sort of thing, which I do). It is when you go inside that your heart starts to sink. The spaces are great but the overall organisation...More

Interesting and just a few euros entrance fee. Small cafe served good coffee. Has models of ships and boats. Diving equipment and statues. Aquarium in another part. The tide was out which I found as a nice twist and good picture.

Lots of models of ships, an aquarium, displays on fishing etc. Not many words in English, but interesting nevertheless. Only three Euros to get in, good for a couple of hours.
