As part of the Parador it is excellently maintained and well documented. Visit it as part of the tour of the Parador. It is an excellent tour, full of history and architecture. Free to guests or on minimal payment to visitors.

This IS the parador and a stroll through the courtyards and porticos rewards the visitor with a clear sense of the serenity and refined architecture of this former hospital for pilgrims. Don't leave without exploring every area.

Lovely garden, perfect for photos. It's ancient, you should read a little about it's history. The arches are old made of stone and the gardens are well take care.

Lots of history, art and tradition here. On the center of the building is the emblem of Santiago. It is the dream of pilgrims to arrive at this place.

Now the fancy (and expensive) parador next to the cathedral, it is worth a walk through the lobby for the atmosphere. Prices are sky high, but guests seem to like it.

The former Hospital Real from medieval times was transformed into a luxury hotel some years ago. Although classified as a "Parador", this is one of the finest and certainly the best located hotel in Santiago. Even if you don't check in, go inside and admire...More

Very beatiful and a good hotel, if you can afford it. The Hostal de los Reys Catolicos is located beside the cathedral, it's worth visiting.

This is actually in the Parador de Santiago. Since we stayed there, there was no entrance fee, so I'm not sure what the cost is. However, it is extremely interesting and is worth a visit.
