Here for the first time, I stay in this square just to take relax and breath after the walk. Nice but people who search for tourists are everywhere and not all of them are not in line with religion, only for money
Stunning and very large totally pedestrianised Plaza with amazing architecture on all four sides. The cathedral is, of course, the main highlight but the facades of the other three buildings on the other three sides are also magnificent.
What grandeur! This plaza is a meeting place of people from all over the world, we visited a few times whilst staying in Santiago over 4 days. It is absolutely beautiful with the cathedral backing onto the plaza.
We were in the square before noon mass and there were fewer people. We went to the museum and I highly recommend it. You will learn how they built and restore the Cathedral. Some people dress up in olden dress to have people take pictures...More
Amazing city plaza in front of the Cathedral of Santiago and the Parador Hotel. Final destination of Camino pilgrims. It was quite full when we were there and amazing to share the experience of arrival with other pilgrims.
