A must see when visiting A Coruña. Beautiful views all around and the experience walking up to the lighthouse is indescribable in the late evening - just beautiful.

The Romans knew how to build. However this is a 1900 year old building, that accounts for the foundation, having been renovated several times. Well worth the climb to the top. Nice view.

I really enjoyed the hike up to the tower. The fog made it look fantastic. The surrounding area is well kept.

Important to buy the ticket for € 3 with a time slot (every 15 minutes) before walking up the ramp. Amazing construction considering its height, age and functionality. Well deserved UNESCO recognition. Good views from the top balcony.

The top of this tower aka the oldest working lighthouse on Earth offers one the absolute best views of A Coruña and it’s rugged and very beautiful coastline. This lighthouse can be mesmerizing from afar but up close and personal is well worth seeing &...More

Interesting, especially the surroundings. Going inside is free on Mondays, even then you need the tickets, available in the parking, before going up the ramp...

What can I say, how often can one see a Roman lightouse, still mainly intact (although somewhat altered in later years) in a location like this? This was a wonderful experience and in general I very much enjoyed it. The setting is stunning, and the...More

We didn't get to go up the lighthouse, which was a shame as we walked 45 minutes on the coast road on a baking hot day from the centre. Nowhere we'd researched warned us that we may have a fruitless trip. On Mondays, the lighthouse...More

Great walk so long as you are wearing the correct foot wear!! It’s quite high and exposed but very definitely worth it for the view and to know you’ll have seen the longest standing and functional light house in the world!

That would be quite a hike. Don't know the exact distance but I would guess it would be about around two miles. Having said that, you would be walking along the coast which is quite stunning. Taxis are cheap, though
