We had the place to ourselves as no other visitors were there, or so we thought. There was a private military reunion on the rear upper flour. There is so much to see here from displays of guns from across a range of countries, models dressed in uniform and smaller scale models of old sailing ships. Information is displayed but... More

Arrived in town on January 6th which was a bank holiday, so most shops where not open, it was a lovely sunny day after a short walk along the front we spotted some military vehicles and what looked like Roman remains behind a glass window. Up on further inspection after walking around the corner we came across this museum entrance.... More

The regional military museum is located across the street from San Carlos garden. There are a couple displays outside of large AA / shore defence guns. Inside the entry is an eclectic mix of items from various eras. On the day of my visit, there was a special exposition (sponsored by Jeep) just off the entrance lobby of military jeeps.... More

I think it is free or very cheap. Has lot of military memorabilia as you would expect. Not far from castillo san anton and jardines de San Carlos so could do all 3 no problem.

Was amazed at the amount of displays, artifacts, uniforms and models that were being displayed. Most are labelled in Spanish but if you are interested in history, you can work your way around okay. Entry is by donation. We gave 20 euros as it was well worth it.

A lovely small museum, housed in a lovely building. Admission is free. It shows military items across the ages and is well displayed over a couple of floors. Some excellent models of the Battle of Corunna from the Napoleonic Wars. (NB the British Commander, Sir John Moore, who died heroically during the battle is buried in a nice small park... More

We went to visit here, as my Grandad is a fan of military memorabilia. He was thoroughly impressed with the collection at this museum, and was well worth visiting, especially as entry was free. He was able to travel to the second floor in his wheelchair, which was very handy.

This museum is probably one of the most memorable historical ones that we have visited on the European continent. It was beautifully prepared with detailed pictures, models & battle scenes from the Napoleonic Peninsular War. There was a very impressive selection of naval models as well. A beautiful building with some stunning artifacts.

Well, what can one say. As a 'military brat', married to a retired military man. The museum really is WORTH a visit. For children it is amazing, especially the big boys - 'Hubby'. The models of battles are stunning. The models of soldiers amazing, very life like. Amazing work by who ever made them. Some big boys really got the... More

If you like history and guns and stuff like that you should go there. The staff there is really nice. When I was there , there was a man who explained us some history and tell us what is the most worth seeing in the museum. I liked the most the play when you have to guess what's in the... More
