Spent a Sunday here and could have stayed longer. There was a great little market where we purchased some items and the narrow streets in the old town are priceless. This particular monument is amazing and accurately reflects some of the culture in the area.

We didn't get to see a real tower, but were impressed by this monument. Get in close and study the faces of the people at the bottom... it's more than just a tower, it's a great selection of individual sculptures.

This monument looks just like the real thing. We were lucky enough to see 4 local "teams?" during a festival in mid September and it looked just like this. Really a treat watching the towers being created. Am amazing display of teamwork, trust and strength.

Well the Spanish are consummate artists and they do not disappoint here either. It’s shoulder to shoulder and that’s their persona for sure.

Superb monument - so well executed - just wish had seen the real thing!. Look at the monument in detail not just an overall view the detail is stunning.

Not worth a special journey but there is nice mile walk at most up to the beach cliff from the central roundabout in Tarragona. This statue is on the way and is a good phot opportunity. Later on the view from the cliff and looking...More

This is a tall monument on the paved section of the main road in Tarragona, (Rambla Nova). It shows the Castellers forming a human tower which is quite a fascinating event in Catalonia (and which we were lucky enough to witness with real people on...More

We saw a lot about this feature of Catalan life on several TV shows but I feel a bit bad about seeing this, and knowing nothing about the sculptor or how much effort went into the sculpture itself...no matter... you need to see it.
