Its not all Masella's fault, there just hasn't been snow this year. But the slopes are small, narrow. Not too many options.

it is a nice ski spot, but it is always crowded, specially during the weekends and holidays, so prepare to wait 15 minutes to have a coffee, 30 minutes to get on the chairlift, and the staff is not particularly welcoming...

Masella is a small ski station but with a lot of charm and convenience. There are plenty of slopes for every level and it's easy to get to from Barcelona airport. It's well served by a variety of hotels and restaurants and a great place to have your first skiing experience. There's a very efficient ski rental shop at the... More

Masella is a superbe ski station, but is always overcrowded. Not cheap skipass that irritates a lot when you can hardly take the ski-lifts a couple of times. BUT, at the begining of the season (beg December), or at the end (late March-April) is the best. Few people, lot of snow, well maintained..

Masella is a few minutes drive from the cute Catalan Cerdanya small town of Alp, with its restaurants, hotels and late bars. And another 10 minutes from beautiful Puigcerda/Bourg-Madame straddling the French and Spanish borders. Combined with la Molina – you can ski between the resorts, it gives about 140km of trails. The skiing is excellent, pretty similar to the... More

We have visited Masella several times now when we are staying at Cal Sodhi (also reviewed on here!), we prefer it to Andorra as we like to ski a couple of times during our usual week stay, not every day. Andorra is OK from the Spanish side but you have to put up with the traffic and queue to get... More

Nice slopes. They really work the slopes well even with just a little bit of snow. It is too expensive compared to the station on the franch side of the pyrenees

Spent 3 days skiing there. A very nice place to learn. The slopes were well cared for and the scenery was stunning. On quiet moments in the ski lift you could hear wood peckers working on the alpine pines and there were paw prints of all sorts of wild animals in the snow. Week days were best but the site... More
