Its insignificant depth doesn't make it less interesting. The Onyar river in Girona becomes a wonderful landmark to contemplate the houses of the Onyar, on both banks of the river. Mix of colours, mostly autumnish nuances, old and new, vintage and refurbished...it's all there, just...More

It's a shallow and slow moving river. There's loads of bridges that cross the river. There's a fair few birds on the river

It's very shallow. It's slow moving. It has many bridges across it. It has large, easily seen, fish. The seagulls make a funny diving motion when trying to catch something in it. The houses go right up to the edge of it. There was a...More

The small lazy river meanders through the city of Girona and makes for a beautiful view with colorful houses on its banks and many bridges crossing it. The river is not deep or wide enough for a cruise but makes for a relaxing walk.

Colorful & peaceful. But compared to Burano, there is huge difference. Nice walk through, especially under shiny afternoon.

Wandering round Girona you will naturally Criss cross between the old and new. Worth going up and down and the buildings are very beautiful. Look out for massive trout in the river.

There are interesting bridges across the river which runs through the city and is quite scenic for a walk. The colourful houses on both banks of the river make good photographs especially with their reflections in the water.

I visited just before the vote for independence and this area was buzzing. it seems people really live in these flats ( rather than them being holiday rentals adn that massively contributes to the authenticity of this town.
