Watched the Busted gig here and had a great night. Luckily we had a few drinks before going in as they were rather expensive and hence noticed hardly anyone frequented the bar. A small venue for watching a band which was nice.

We wanted to dance so went to Apolo. There are two different entrances. We went to the one with the david bowie music. It was a bit weird 'cause sometimes there was very good atmosfere and at other times people didnt know how to move around... it was very crowdy and at times we were dancing around in shattered glass...... I've only been here for concerts and not for clubbing. As a concert arena it's really great. It has two venues. One big and one smaller. The big one has a historic really beautiful interior and the smaller a contemporary cool look.

Best venue in Barcelona if you want to enjoy music. If you like any kind of music you can find it at Apolo, program is super diverse. Opened every day :)

I make sure every time when I'm in BCN and it's Monday I go to Nasty Mondays party in Apolo. If you're there and it's Monday - you already have plans for the evening, believe me. Wildest parties I've ever been to, totally worth spending 16€ for (drink included!). It has two rooms with completely different but equally awesome music... More

Cool club with good ambiance. Not very special but if you haven't been 2 at club that is an old theater than you will like it and they usually play techno! :)

I saw a phenomenal Flamenco show with El Carpeta, el Yiyo and Miguel Poveda (singer) at the Sala Apolo--and I wish I had been able to see five more shows of that caliber. It was amazing!

Came here for crappy Tuesday's which is like the little brother to nasty Monday's. Upstairs is good it has indie/alternative music and always a big crowd. But downstairs, nasty bass is my absolute favourite room. DJs are always on point and has the perfect mix of bass, electronic, techno. Doesn't get busy until about 1.30/2 but is open til 5.... More

Staying in Montjuic

Neighbourhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colourful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
