We took our kids because we got great reviews. You need to arrive before 21;00 to find some free grass to sit on. The show starts at 21:30 and it wasn't very impressive at all. 6 or 7 different colors that repeats over and over...More

We arrived 20 minutes before the show, but heaps of people were there earlier. The fountain creates a wonderful display of water and lights. It would have been better if the music was louder, there was so much noise from the crowd it was hard...More

It was the first thing I saw in Barcelona. Loved it. You should go at about 20:00 - 20:30. When it gets dark, thw miracle appears.

It really is a big fountain, close to the city and Plaza Espanya. When it lights up around 9.30, the place is usually packed so make sure to go earlier to find a nice spot. The show usually consists of the fountain being lit colorfully...More

Visited on a recommendation. Far too many people so difficult to get a good view. If you've been to Las Vegas and seen fountains at the Bellagio you'll be underwhelmed. Show started well with Freddie Mercury's 'Barcelona' but then it was like someone had pressed...More

It is free. Expect a lot of people and do not stand down wind from the fountain or you will get wet. Expect a lot of people

We visited early September on a Saturday night and it was extremely busy! Lovely atmosphere and a must see but I personally wouldn't recommend a picnic there.
