We had a fantastic tour with Alex on Saturday! It helped that it was a beautiful day, but the tour was packed full of interesting insight into Barcelona's rich history and lots of great little-known facts about the city. Alex was a great guide, and I'd really recommend this tour for anyone interested!

We met Juan Carlos at the Travel Bar pub after booking on-line. No one else turned up so we had a private tour. Perfect. Juan Carlos was just the type of guide we wanted, informed and humorous. He had something interesting and different to say about architecture, history, art and food. He knew his history well and had plenty of... More

Alex is a multilingual guy that knows his stuff and usually stays after the tour to give you tips about places to eat and hang out. Great guy and very informative. I did the tour with my 2 sons and left with a very good impression about Alex and gothic Barcelona.

Today, my girlfriend and I went on a tour of the Gothic quarter. From the beginning to the end, history flowed seamlessly through each location. 2.5 hours flew by. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide Alex helped us enjoy this beautiful city even more.

I must confess that I was intending to go on Barcelona's free walking tour. But I did not quite make it in time, so I went on this Travel Bound Barcelona Free Walking Tour instead...and I am delighted that I did! With only three other people on the tour, ours was practically a private tour. This gave us plenty of... More

Our guide Joe shared the history of Catalonia in the most interesting way! I often take free walking tours however usually don't like historical details so much. This tour changed my mind! I thoroughly enjoyed and was captivated by the history of this city. I also now have a much greater understanding and appreciation of the Catalan people. Thanks Joe... More

Our 3 p.m. tour and had just 10 people, so it was always easy to see and hear our guide. He took us on a 2,000-year journey, from the Romans to current day. While the tour was fun and lively, he snuck in history and politics. It all clicked: Visigoths were from Northern Europe (like the Vikings); the Moors came... More

We've done several of these free walking tours in various cities and I highly recommend them. They give you a great overview of an area and you always learn about the history of the area and buildings a lot of things you just wouldn't get if you just walked around and looked at the buildings on your own. My partner... More
