Gorgeous cathedral. Every corner of the church has a Saint. It is truly magical church, but that is the church and they made it like a tourist attraction. That is the downside if you are religious.

As I had read the book by Lldefonso Falcones I just had to visit this Cathedral the book was based on. It does not have all the adornments as other Cathedrals, but she is a Survivor, fire, earthquake and then set on fire again by...More

This is one of the most stunning gothic churches I have ever seen (including cathedrals, this is not one cathedral since it was not the seat of the bishop). It is just air, light and space. You just have to go and see if you...More

Visited Lisbon & Barcelona in November, went to no less than 8 churches. This was my favorite of all of them. Maybe it was the time of day, the sunlight was streaming through the windows: it was absolutely stunning. We had breakfast in a little...More

There is not many words to describe the Catedral del Mar, you honestly have to see it yourself to have a feeling for the strenght and power of this work, the work of the people! Also good book scenery; Catedral del Mar by Ildefonso Falcones!

This is one of the most unique, spellbinding cathedrals in the world. It’s a church so quietly take a tour or just walk about. Bring a camera, you’ll be glad you did.

This is my favorite of the many Churches in Barcelona and should not be missed. You may need to pay to get in but the money looks after the Church. Go to the roof and have a look, and the Gothic area is a must...More

This is a church built by the people themselves in the 14th century, in the Catalan Gothic style. As such it is very important to the city and culture of Barcelona. Simple and plain in comparison to other churches in Barcelona, it is the more...More

An absolutely stunning gothic Basilica with some very interesting history. A very old choir section and some 1000 year old wood coffins on the walls. Very eerie and dark but extremely beautiful and free before 1pm on a weekday.

El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent
the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But
this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually
enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few
places that live and breathe such exciting energy
regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood
seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the
city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants

I went in July and there was no charge to go inside the church. It was €3 to go to the roof, but it was definitely worth it!

if you are having difficulty getting an answer from the church perhaps you could contact the diocese?
