Fun!!
Jun. 2019 • Couples
We saw on a street advertisement that Detox from RPDR was going to be at this club so we walked there and arrived on time. We waited a little as they were not allowing anyone in...Its really cool how you go down this tunnel to go in...once down there we got tickets - cash only so be prepared... The atmosphere and decor is nice though the bathrooms need some updating/cleaning...The bartenders were nice and made really good drinks for the price... the show it self was amazing and the place was not full at all....overall a very fun experience...

Go somewhere else
Nov. 2018 • Friends
We signed up on a guest list and expected to go in for free. In fact, they let us through the front door, let us stand in a line and told us only after waiting a while that we had to pay 10 euros to get in with a free drink. We decided to accept the conditions and gave them our credit card. They charged 8 euros for each one of us, but the entrance didn't include a drink, which cost between 7 and 10 euros. The music was awful but I guess it's a matter of taste. We left soon.
To sum up, I'm sorry about going and I'm sure none of my friends will ever go to Bikini again.

Intimate concert experience
Sep. 2018 • Family
A good place for smaller concerts! Despite a full concert crowd it works smoothly with service from the bar. There’s also areas where it’s possible to sit down. Bikini is located in an area with restaurants, hotels and a shopping mall.

too expensive, dont worth it
Oct. 2017 • Friends
We have paid 14 euros to come in, which is expensive (most other clubs, including the best in the city are for free).. then, one normal drink costs 12 euros, one beer for 8 euros and if you just want a coca cola, 9 euros... the service in the first bar (close to the entrance, a blue one) was very bad, but in the other bars they were nice and smiling... the music was bad but got to be ok in the end (nothing awesome)...

ah, if you want a baloon glass (to drink gin tonic for example) you have to pay 1 euro more for the glass.. and i understood why: in the end of the night the floor was all in glass, the people just drink and throw the glasses in the floor. i have never seen such a thing in my life and my friend told me that is usual. bad because it damaged my shoes. when i tell glass everywhere, i mean really in all the dance floor, on the stairs, it was literally impossible to not step on glass

Intimate concert experience
Mar. 2017
I've been to two concerts here and I find the place to be good and intimate. If you have the chance, GO!

The first time I saw MATOMA, a Norwegian dj and tropical EDM maker. Being there only a little early I easily got a spot in front of the stage and up close to to the artist (about two meters).
The sad thing was that the beer price was 7€ for 33cc.

The second time I saw Bear's Den, a folk band similar to Mumford and sons from Britain. This time I wad further back by the sound table but the experience was really good. The room really held an intimate feeling with good lighting, sound and a physical closeness to the band, especially when they did two acoustic performances without any speakers.
This time the beer price was a more reasonable 4€ so I guess it depends on the artist and not Bikini.

The Temper Trap , what a night
Feb. 2017
Having never been here before and never having seen The Temper Trap either, I was blown away.
OK mostly it's because of the band, I never been to a gig where I had goose bumps throughout the whole set.
But the atmosphere in the place adds to the feeling of elation, and the sound was perfect for the style of music.
And if that wasn't the case it could have been much less than what it was.
It's a great small venue to see a big band.

One stop party spot.
Dec. 2013 • Couples
This place is HUGE, and it has an excellent sound-system. Relatively upscale so if that isn't your thing, hit a good dive-bar instead. Drinks are a bit pricey too.

Good... But there are better
This is actually a nice place to go out in Barcelona, but like most of the popular places of the city, it's overpriced. You have average music (the style depends on the day of the week), good-looking girls and a very big place to dance, however I've seen better in Barcelona and better placed

Barcelona in a nutshell
Bikini is said to be Barcelona's oldest club, which I would say that I believe. In some ways, this club is showing it's age, but in others it just adds character.
It is divided into two main rooms: the main room, which plays your average house technoy mix of music, good if you like that kind of thing, but the atmosphere isn't great; and the salsa room.
I personally love the salsa room, simply because it is so different from anything I've ever experienced. People actually dance, in pairs, and guys come up to you and say, 'quieres bailar?' However, the charm suddenly disappears when they realise that you can't dance salsa: some teach you, others walk off.
For a club, it's fairly pricey, at 15E with two included drinks, and other drinks are expensive, with a vodka and lemonade costing around 9E. The Mojitos, however, are great, if rather strong.
My main problem with Bikini, however, is the fact that due to it's location on DIagonal, it is difficult to go somewhere else once you're bored, and you would need to pay for a taxi or Metro from Maria Christina metro station, rather than walk.
I would recommend Bikini, simply because it is Barcelona in club form: localised, expensive, music driven, and there are semi-naked girls (and the odd guy) dancing on the bar.
