We have arrived to this vast park from the metro station Parallel with the Funicular de Montjuic, which runs almost entirely underground. Next to its upper station we took the Telepherique de Montjuic cable car - the view from it was really nice. On the...More

We took the hop on hop off bus to the cable cars and then went up to the castle. Great views of the city and the harbor. Some may not like the cable car ride but the views are worth it.

Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça

Hi. Staying an hour away from Barcelona next month. We will be getting the train to Barcelona Sants station in the morning, visiting Camp Nou stadium until lunch time. Would we have time to then travel to Montjuic and spend some time there? How far is it? I am confused about where is best to get the views from when reading the questions and answers?

Is it best to do a tour or on your own? I see they have one at night with the water show. Can anyone go to the water show?

The water show runs after a schedule. Check online. You can very well go on your own and explore as you like. The castle is lovely to see and there are some awesome views from the top :)

We're visiting the parc via the turistic bus. Is it free to just enter and walk around the park? (when we went to Parc Guell we were lead to believe we had to have a ticket to get in (and they'd sold out) it was only by luck we realised e could walk the Parc for free)
