Ready for spectacular views, I was sorely dissappointed: the cabin was crammed so full, everyone was smushed. The views were OK when you courld see them, but having to go around all these other people made it difficult. Not worth the price of admission.

This is just a waste if time and money, the queue are way to long and it's not worth it 11€ just one way, the only positive thing about this is the view which you can't really enjoyed to much because the cabin is too crowded

Seen this from bus tour and decided to investigate. We went down about 10.30 and queue was not too long so we joined it.By the time we were getting into the lift the queue had doubled so we were glad we went early. At the top there is another wait of about 15/20 minutes but the sights are great so... More

Viewing from the cable car itself can be tricky if your car is full, luckily I was at the door facing one way on the outward journey and the opposite on the inward journey. We didn't have to queue for more than a few minutes. Views from the restaurant at Montjuic are fantastic. We visited on a bright, sunny, cloudless... More

We decided to take a trip on the cable car to Montjuic and back. 16.50 euros each for a return trip or 11 euros for a single trip. The journey is only about 8 minutes each way but the views are really good and plenty of photo opportunities. At the Montjuic end there is views from high over Barcelona and... More

We used the teleferic for one way. First of all 11euro per person is not cheap, but we think that it was a good opportunity to have some nice photos from barcelona. The main problem was that in the teleferic we were so many people that it was impossible to take a photo even if you use your mobile. The... More

It is good experience if you are living round the beach but if you are away I don't recommend it because it is very shot activity and will will cost you 6€ per one direction per person

€11 per person for a 1km maybe a little more cable car ride. The cable cars are crammed with about 20 people and when we visited today the wait was over an hour as they only had 2 cable cars going. We decided to take public transport to the mountain and got there a lot faster. Don't waste your time

Obviously, nice views over barcelona and the port area. Obviously, the wobbly experience of a cable car. Worth to make it a one-way trip and complete your journey on the other side.

I was a little daunted looking at the queue stretching before us to the pay kiosk of this cable car with only two cable cars in service. Decided to wait and in about 45minutes we had reached the lift for the ascent up the tower to the cable car platform. Another 15 minutes saw us in the car being carried... More

Staying in Barceloneta

Neighbourhood Profile
Barceloneta
Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away, Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed sand structures making this the most visited beach in the city (the shirtless men working out might help too). You’ll know by the delicious aroma that you're in the right place to try some of the best and most authentic seafood including paella, Spain’s national dish.
