We booked a tour for our first day in Barcelona since this was our first time here. This is really the best way to get to know the city. Our guide took us on a big loop and provided great commentary and everything we saw. The city is mainly flat so the riding was easy. After this tour, we were... More

We booked in our tour during our stay in Barcelona. We were fortunate enough to have Carola as our guide. Not only was she knowledgeable, she was fun and entertaining. She gave us a great tour of all the highlights of Barcelona as well as great commentary about the city's history. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this... More

Great ride around Barcelona. Our guide did a lovely job. Her English was really good and we had no trouble understanding the tour, even in some tough locations. The tour was well organized and took us through much of the city. There would be no way to see that much, even on a bus. Barcelona is a bike friendly city.... More

I booked a last minute bike tour in Donostia/San Sebastian Spain last week. Our guide, Oyana (sp?) was prompt and approached us in the crowd of people. She was very knowledgeable about the city and the culture. We saw sights we never would have found on our own and felt much reassured to leave our daughter there to study abroad!... More

Did this tour on Weds August 24. Bilked the previous day and Sebastian 'Bas' took us as the English speaking guide. We were privileged as we were the only pair on this tour so we had him all to ourselves. Lots of others groups some small and some large were leaving as we arrived. The tour was great. We are... We rented a bike here for 7 days which if you do the math is cheaper then using the subway or any public transport for that matter. it takes you places and you see lots of other stuff which you will miss using the subway. For me it was conveniant the vendors are Dutch so the communication was very easy... More

I cannot say enough about this tour. We saw all of the main sites of Athens in 3 hours, and our tour guide took us to all the additional places we wanted to see, free of additional charge. We bonded a ton with our tour guide, Pan, who both was fun and incredibly knowledgeable about Athens and Greece in general,... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighbourhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
