Neighbourhood: El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.

Amazing building and well worth the guided tour - access to stage and guide helpfully points out the nooks and crannies of this gem of a building. Recommended.

In awe of the interior and the details. It was a majestic feeling seeing the ceiling and the stage with all the designed pieces. We originally went to watch a concert at night and the next day, we even went back during the day just to see how gorgeous it is and luckily there were a few people during the afternoon since they close at 16:00. We went there at 15:00 😉

This is one of the less publicized venues in Barcelona but it was steps from our hotel and my husband loves music so we gave it a try. The audio tour is very good with short excerpts and easy to use with your phone. This place is magical, every detail will amaze you. It takes less than one hour to see in its entirety, and well worth your time.

Amazingly gorgeous Art Nouveau theatre that holds every year a very popular Celtic music concert with Carlos Nunez and his international friends. Nunez is a world-famous flutist and bagpiper from Galicia in Spain ( Galicia was occupied once by Celts, hence its musical traditions are connected to Scotland, Ireland, and Brittany). Locals just LOVE Nunez so you have to buy your tickets way ahead of time!
And that concert is just amazing: vibrant, warm, and so cool! People litterally dance in their seats...
Before the show, one can have tapas or a very nice meal at the Palau's restaurant.

A must see when you are visiting Barcelona. Palau de la Musica is such a beautiful building, it is well worth it to have a look in side and you can take some lovely photos on the balcony and inside.

If you can attend a concert in stead of the visiting of the Palau, don't hesitate. There is only one Music Hall of that sort in the world.

This is a remarkably beautiful and unique place and it will leave you inspired. Both inside and outside deserve to be examined in detail. Domenech seemed to have much more integrity than the extravagant Gaudi. I wish I had a chance to attend a concert in this building. The entry ticket is very affordable. There is also a nice souvenir store.

Attended the flamenco December show and was impressed , truly impressed, by both the building and the decor. It´s so beautiful it almost takes your attention away from the show.
