Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself.

We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct:

- Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes.

- City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes.

- City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes.

- Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes.

- Taxi to Park Guell (Carretera del Carmel or Calle de Marianao)

Every monument in Barcelona is overpriced , and as the entrance was free some years ago, paying 8 euros to see park guel is too much in my opinion

Very interesting architecture and whimsical place to visit. You can buy advance tickets online which I find is always a good idea. You get a great view of the city as well.

This isn't like no ordinary park, the views are amazing at the top and you can see aspects of Gaudìs work round every corner, definitely a must see in Barcelona! Also features one of the houses Gaudì lived in.

See this attraction as part of a day tour of Barcelona. It has so much to see and having someone explain its features is essential. The history behind it is fascinating as well as sad.

Would expect more from the park. Quiet small and does not take long to walk about. However Gaudi's work worth seeing.

The tiles gives this monument special character, it is really charming. The view is fantastic, specially on sunset.

Its worth seeing for sure. If you are enjoying Barcelona and the architecture it is definitely an worthwhile attraction. Took a guided tour, lots to learn about the park and Gaudi himself. Didn't get a chance to explore the neighborhood but was a little out of the way, not walking distance from downtown.

What impressed me most about this park is the integrated planning where water management was designed first and everything else fit to that design. Lots of quirks worth seeing.
