SIRENS S.A.Over 100 years in the port of BarcelonaSirens S.A. is an experienced sailor and proud heritage that for over a hundred years gives those who want the most attractive and intriguing views of Barcelona from a beautiful perspective, the Mediterranean. The company began its journey Swallows in 1888, coinciding with the World Expo in Barcelona, the end of the Rambla and the construction of the monument to Columbus.Swallows have been, since then, an exceptional witness of the dramatic changes experienced by the port and Barcelona in general. The activity began with three swallows calls Omnibus I, II and Omnibus Omnibus III, which ran on steam. They ran from the Portal de la Pau to Barceloneta (Banys de Sant Sebastia).Over the years, the company consolidated and progressively swallows many locals used as a means of transportation to the Baths.During the Civil War, the company was closed. Then he resumed his activity. With the first extension of the port, Las Golondrinas expanded its fleet and route. Was maintained Banys route to Sant Sebastia and started a new to the breakwater. Over the years and the removal of trams "gardener", was also deleted the line bathrooms. The line of the breakwater has lasted until today and has allowed many citizens had their baptism of sea in our boats. After the Olympic Games in 1992, opened a new route: Las Golondrinas harbor and coastline itinerary that allows des seafront view of the sea. To this end a new ships were built, the catamaran type, called Trimar and buses. In 2009 we added a new ship to Las Golondrinas: Antina G.SIRENAS S.A..

Thoroughly enjoyed this boat trip. Passed out through the port and got to see the fabulous cruise liners. Out along the coast taking in the beaches. Nice & relaxing while enjoying a coffee. Reasonably priced too.

Really great experience. We went for 90 min option to see the coastline and the harbour. No regrets. Be careful and get a sun cream with you. You can easily get a tan wile on the boat roof. The ticket for adult is €15 and for senior is €12.20

We picked this tour online since close to Colom monument so easily found. The boat for the longest tour was nice and we enjoyed the wind and the sea scent on the roof top. The landscape is nice, from port to port with skyscrapers along the beach. Very nice moment but no comment at all which explains the petty price.... More

We did the hour and a half tour. Relaxing, nice. The only complaint is there was a strong fuel smell sitting in port and halfway through the tour, depending on the wind. Otherwise, very nice.

The day before my cruise, I took this short (90 min) tour with Las Golondrinas. It was a great way to see BCN from a different perspective, from the water! There are great views to see, time to relax, and it is not expensive. It is great fun, and you can see a lot of BCN's coastline. I definitely recommend... More

When ever travelling we enjoy viewing the landscape of the area from the water. This boat tour was lovely. It travels through the harbour and then along the coast were many of the cruise ships and notable land marks are very visible. This cruise was 1 1/2 hours and it flew by on a beautiful sunny day. What a wonderful... More

Enjoyed getting out on the water for the 40 minute harbour cruise. (I forgot to use the discount voucher in the book given by the hop-on-hop-off bus tour, so paid the full cost of Euros 7.50 each! But I think that was reasonable value compared to other trips I have been on elsewhere.) As others have said, there was no... More

40 minute cruise around the harbour. See the superyachts, cruise liners, cargo boats all up close. There's no commentary which is a good thing. It's just under 8 euros and a few less for kids. Definitely recommend it if you like seeing boats.

This 40 minute boat ride is free with the Barcelona card, I would probably not have paid had I not had the card. There is no commentary but it is a pleasant trip out to the docks where you see the shipping containers being loaded and the docking points for the huge cruise ships with everyone waving. It also goes... More

With a Barcelona card comes a free 40 minute boat tour of the harbor area, a very picturesque area where you view yachts you will never afford and cruise ships you are dying to board. It's a pleasant interlude in Barcelona, and the port area,is full of tourist shopping and an upscale mall. Just be sure to avoid the pickpockets.

Staying in La Rambla

Neighbourhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-metre boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetising selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
