We had a quick dinner here after a long day. Service wasn’t great, but it was ok. We had croquettes and paella, both of which were quite good. Prices were reasonable. Sitting outside in the plaza meant we had a lovely atmosphere.

Go for the architecture rather than the welcome/ service or food. The inside is traditional/ quaint and there are regular music events for free downstairs.

Visited El Paraigua for an afternoon coffee. The place was central and quiet, the coffee was nice but the server was rude and cold, whereas she seemed very friendly with Spanish and Catalan speakers. Not sure if we would go back.

On a rainy winter Sunday night getting close to a Spanish guitar duo was sublime! The entertainment is free, we had tapas and sangria and were in the mood. Very convenient in the gothic quarter, in the basement vault. A memory forever!
