Great little spot just off the Rambla. Head to the Wax museum (signposted and you can see it from a long way away at the sea end of the Rambla. Then you should be able to find this place easily. Must-see if you've got kids in tow. Took 4 and 7 yr old. Drinks were reasonable considering location and we... More

When you walk into this place, it can freak you out a bit, with its quirky objects, suspended dolls, and quant alcoves that look straight out of a mad magician's den or a haunted mansion. Plus a bar set in a dark, barely lit 'enchanted forest'-like space with a waterfall and rocks! But once settled at your tree stump table,... More

we find this place talking with a group of guys, is near wax museum, the place is very interesting is like a forest, with storm, very very beautiful, it seems is done for tourist, cocktails are very expensive, and you only can find inside foreign people, not locals

One of the best places to visit in Barcelona!! Such a hidden gem and a great concept. The hot chocolate was so good, wish I had more time in Barcelona so I could come back here! Definitely worth a visit

This has the impressive ability to be just off Los Ramblas and yet feel like a hidden gem. My friend who lives in the city brought me here. On the inside it has a dark ye olde English bare feel to it. The closest bar I can think like it is bar I visited in Hobbiton featured in LOTR and... More

Next to the Museo de Cara, a place for a cuppa. On entering it looks a bib dark and dismal but on looking around all becomes clear. I think a must see

This is one very interesting and intriguing cafe! We sat in the "forest" side around a large tree table and enjoyed our coffee. Periodically the lights would slowly dim and then the lightning show would begin. Definitely an experience! Such a fun time, highly recommended.

Such a beautiful, magical atmosphere, everything you'd expect from a Fairy bar! The service, however, was rude and unfriendly. We only experienced the one bartender so maybe he was having a bad day but it really tarnished our experience, the whole group commented on it. The red wine was also very bad!

Great cafe we stmbled upon by accident. I want to take the Hobbit book and read it here every day. Just great...

This bar is tucked away close to the wax museum but is really worth finding! It's so unique. Inside it's softly lit and there are lots of statues/dolls of fairies. There is also lots of trickling water. Then occasionally there will be a thunder sound and the lights will go dark and flash, just like a thunderstorm!

Staying in Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)

Neighbourhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighbourhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
