We spent some very pleasant hours strolling around this park during our trip to Valladolid. It is a marvellous ace, full of trees, flowers, wild areas and seemingly endless quantities of peacocks and peahens. There is also a small aviary, where you can see several different types of birds, in a very clean environment - we saw park keepers cleaning out the sawdust in the morning. There's also a small public library, with newspapers and seats, which seems the most civilised thing I've ever seen!

We joined many other people feeding the ducks and also, strangely, the fish, who seemed just as keen on pinching the bread as the ducks did. There were many families, older people, courting couples, teenagers and tourists all walking round the park and it seems a space for everyone to enjoy. There is a cafe area in the park, several fountains and you can also go on a very short board trip around the bigger pond where the ducks are. This may just be for children, but I admit I was tempted.

You can also feed the peacocks, which was quite unusual. We saw some being feed out of someone's hand, so they are very comfortable around people.

A great park and a lovely place to spend the evening.

The Campo Grande consists of large gardens between the train station and the Plaza de Zorrilla, which were made in the 16th century. It started as a neoclassic garden, but was then transformed in 1877 into a Romantic type of garden. The designer was Ramon Oliva, a famous garden architect from Barcelona. He had help from his nephew Francisco Sabadell y Oliva. The garden is full of trees, fountains, flowers, and sculptures. There is a pond where there are swans, geese, and ducks. A peacock walks the grounds. The Fountain of Fame is one of the most splendid fountains in the park and its bronze sculpture was done by Mariano Chicote in 1883. There are important sculptures such as the bronze sculpture of Miguel Iscar, the work of Aureli
o Carretero; the monument to Nuñez de Arce, by Emiliano Barral; the monument to Leopoldo Cano, by Juan Jose Moreno Llebra; and the monument to Rosa Chacel, by Francisco Baron.

Lovely place to escape from the heat and noise of the city centre. Some children’s play facilities and collection of free roaming peacocks, swans and geese

There was a fiesta going on the first week of Sept. while we were in Valladolid for three days. The park was so pleasant for a stroll or just topeople watch. Everyone..seniors, families with children and young teens were all visiting, walking and generally whiling away a most pleasant evening.
There are many fountains trails and of course peacocks, ducks and a few swans.
One of my sons, used the trails in the early morning to get in a good jog.
Nice place.

While Valladolid isn't the biggest of cities in Spain, this little snippet of a park is a nice little getaway for a peaceful walk. There are minimal attractions throughout the park, but I personally just enjoyed the shade of the trees and the walk itself. Reminded me of a mini version of Central park in the middle of small-city Spain.

This park dates back to the 18th century. It has a nice playground for children, a pond, statues, fountains and different birds.
It is a relaxing park in the middle of downtown Valladolid. There is also a coffee place inside the park.
