This is a beautiful church, which is located not far from the Plaza Mayor. It is a beautiful Romanesque temple, from the twelfth century, however supported on another earlier. Like many other churches in Segovia, the church of San Esteban has a Romanesque facade that embraces a Baroque interior. It has three naves and real impressive, the 13th century tower, which with its 52 meters is considered the largest Romanesque tower in the entire Iberian Peninsula. It maintains in one of its chapels a wonderful Romanesque Christ. The portico is Romanesque and has numerous stone carvings. The belfry and portico - running on the south and west sides of the church - make it the best finished Romanesque temple in Segovia, visible from elsewhere in the city.

It is the best exponent of Segovian Romanesque church tower art. The large esplanade on which it which border was situated allows the observation of the front walls of the church both day and night. It is also worth a visit inside. This tower, the acueduct, the cathedral towers, the city walls and the "Alcazar" Castle makes a fantastic skyline of the town from the valladolid road, 5 km from the city center.
