Jewish old Segovia is a fascinating tour round medieval old alleyways and houses, city walls and defences

History, narrow streets, magical ambience, charm, nostalgia, mistery, all you need to enjoy, walking quietly through its streets. Interesting works of building and street restoration.

This is an amazing place where you will find old synagogues now catholic convents. Christian churches next to synagogues. The ancient Jewish butchery is now Segovia's museum of fine arts.

A good place to take a good guess about how was the Jewish life in Segovia. Interesting also to see where all the important people lived and worked.

We find these little streets fascinating - full of charm and history. They are not consigned to the past, they are still full of life and interest, but keep their heritage.

If you have time it is ok to wander through but don't make it a priority. Other things are much better here.

The Jews of Segovia were forced to live in a small area of the city. Following the Spanish Inquisition, Jews were forced to abandon their homes in Segovia. Today, the Jewish quarter still feels abandoned as not many tourists venture into it. But, it is...More
