Giant, beautiful old cathedral. Short walk from the University, so everything can be done at once. It is actually attached to the New Cathedral, so all of it is easy to do.

During a study abroad in Salamanca, my group was able to take a tour of this cathedral at night time. The tour had lights and music that gave me shivers. It was an amazing way to see the cathedral. I will never forget that experience.

A city that has more than 24 catholic churches you can see the difference between the old and new cathedral as they were built against each other.

If you are in Salamanca you really should visit the cathedral. Even if you are not religious yourself, it (cathedrals in general and Catholicism in particular) is still such a big part of history, especially in Spain, that it is worth seeing. If you aren't into religion, you could still come here for the architectural wonder of it, for the... More

Awesome place to visit. Not expensive and had good translating ear pieces. Magnificent! At each turn one was in taken in by the opulence and the history of the place. Well worth a visit.

A generous construction of another century, very well preserved that remains in your memory. Inside everything is great!
