To me the outside was much like any other cathedral and didn't fancy paying €7 to see the inside. You are however allowed to walk into the cathedral as far as the the ticket desk which will probably give the average person enough of a glimpse of the interior.

Wonderful cathedral, make sure you visit the grave of El Cid. Loved the beautiful chapels and evidence of the gold and silver from South America

This Cathedral is a must see if you are in Burgos. If you are there at night check it out again. I found the audio tour gave me more info than I needed. You may want to just walk around.

This was a very strange place, I've never been anywhere where God has been so sidelined by the egos of the people who built the chapels. The audio guide is so slow and badly written that you have to keep skipping forward and gives you a very frustrating description. I left sad at the waste of money... The art is... More

Every detail in this place is magnificent. Whenever you decide to visit this place, my advice would be to have time. Go there and wander, admire, enjoy it. You won't be disappointed. To my, this is the most beautiful Cathedral I have ever visited. Its architecture and style is unique. The inside is so complex in design that it's worth... More

A must for any visitor to Burgos and not sure how you could miss it... Set in the main square - wonderful architecture - there is a cost to go into the Cathedral or you can just sit outside and marvel at its majesty (with a glass)

Can not believe how many people who visit are NOT aware that El Cid is buried here and do not know who he was!

Always love wandering thru Cathedrals, but using the headphones we found we could skip thru some of it. Was interesting how some of the works were suffering from "stone disease" due to humidity. This old cathedral has been undergoing various restorations and reformations. It is a UNESCO site.
