This church is the perfect illustration of the many periods of occupation and influence throughout Toledo's history. At first glance, this is a small and simple church, but significant archaeological work has uncovered a far more complex story. It's a 12th-century church built on an 11th-century...More

The entrance ticket is €2.80. Church is small, with only a simple chapel and some statues and exhibits. At the side are some ruins. It was quiet. There were 2 other visitors besides me. 10 mins is sufficient. Not worth the entrance fee though it...More

One more site that you will mostly appreciate if you are into archaeology. There is a church too, but it is not exceptional.

This was one of our favorites attractions. In addition to the church, it is also an archaeological site. You can tour aspects of it. Its one of the attractions that qualifies for admission under the tourist bracelet.

The highlight is the Visigothic Carving on the Pillar - Worth Seeing - You can also climb the (small) tower and go into the excavations under the church. I think the entry fee is a bit steep for the size (it is 2.50 Eu)

A truly welcoming place and hidden treasure. Although the Church service and prayers are said in Latin, it embraces the soul and engraves spirituality with that valuable incentive, leaving the place with a difference within.

Savior Church was formerly a southeast mosque dating back to the 9th century. This simple church still maintains a Moorish atmosphere with lovely horseshoe arches. An early Christian pilaster depicts scenes from the life of Christ (His face scraped off by the Muslims). Ruins from...More
