This was not on my list of things to do in Toledo but it was afford as part of the cheapest package with a hop on hop off bus ticket, so we took it. Tours start at 1.30 PM, although there is a set time...More

Through this gate you climb up the steep hill to the alcazar at the top. The gate itself is centuries old and you can picture the soldiers entering the city through this gate. Views of the city are everywhere.

Historic entry point to the old city. One of the prettiest gates we have seen in any city. Well worth a diversion to see it. Many architectural details, including the carvings above the entry.

Talking about making an entrance? Well, this certainly is an amazing one. Part of the wall, beautifully restored, very impressive!

We actually stayed inside the city until we had to leave and didn't have enough time to explore the wall or area around it. It is a beautiful wall and has this great gate. My advice would be to make sure to make some time...More

Really great entrance to the city. Where else has this? It reflects all that the city behind has to offer. Extremely ornate architecture and well preserved. A superb photo opportunity too. A must do when in Toledo.

This is one of three gates into Toledo. It is beautiful and a very quick site to see. Worth walking to it to take a look.
