We were very pleasantly surprised when we visited the Palmetum. It is a beautiful, clean and well kept ecological plant park. And compared to some other parks on the island, it was cheap (about 3-4 euros/person). There are many nice look-out points over the sea...More

The walk through the botanical gardens takes about an hour +. This is possibly the largest collection of palms anywhere, we took the available audio guides which we found very helpful and helped to ensure you saw everything. Not a tour that would fascinate many...More

Visited the palmetum on what started a cloudy day. So glad we ended up here. It was a lovely quiet day, nice gardens and great views. The city rubbish dump has been converted into a great attraction. Well worth a visit.

Beautiful palm garden. All kinds of palms and very green and well maintained botanical garden. Nice place to spend an afternoon and enjoy exotic palms near Parque maritimo and Auditorio.

The palmetum was a lovely and very informative place, great views and very well kept, teeming with wildlife, the only thing that prevents me giving this a 5 star is that all the information beyond the plants names and original location is in the guide...More

We walked to the Palmetum without really knowing what to expect, and when we arrived we didn't think that it looked that appealing. We considered not bothering going in, but decided that as the entrance price was quite reasonable we may as well go and...More

What was previously a large high rubbish tip in 1970,s is now a large and varied palmetium, with great mixture of trees, flowering shrubs, trees and cacti. Some super views and easily accessible, with lift for those who can't do stairs. Definitely worth a visit,...More

Be sure to check out the exhibit and film left to the ticket entrance first before starting your walk to the right of the ticket entrance. Best to go in a generally anti clockwise direction. The Palmetum has good viewing spots and seats. Signs are...More

A place which used to be the city dump at 1970's has gone through a total face wash and turned out to be a very beautiful garden. A 40m high hill is now a place where one can see examples of various palm trees around...More

Hi. We stayed in Costa Adeje, and buses to Santa Cruz are easy.Takes about an hour and cheap enough. Once you get to Santa Cruz terminal, it's 10 minutes walk along the seafront. Enjoy.
