This is a lovely tree lined avenue at the top end of the city, surrounded by some fantastic villas with great architecture. The parque Garcia Sanabria is located just off this avenue & is well worth a visit too.

Beautiful walk in the middle of Santa Cruz. Beautiful trees and flowers amid the hustle and bustle of the city.

It is a lovely idea to have a park that goes along the middle of a major city road. All the Ramblas provide a very nice place to walk and to watch the locals.

We walked from the sea end up to the City Centre and wished we had caught the bus! A long walk with traffic either side of the central path. Nice trees and foliage with various pieces of sculpture and unseen canaries singing away at times. Not many cafes until you reach the central area (perhaps we should have started there?!).

An established thorough fare which runs through the northern part of Santa Cruz. The tree lined boulevard balances the needs of motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. The central reservation is wide and safe for pedestrians (with some cyclists!) The trees, shrubs and amazing cyclamens are enhanced by modern sculptures

Taking a stroll along this leafy avenue will give you a great introduction to the city. It winds around part of it, never too far away from the city centre, and by taking a couple of other avenues at the end of it, you can get back to the seafront, quite near the Palmetum. It's shaded and you can see... More

A great place for a walk, sheltered from the sun by trees. Traverses a variety of districts, with parks at several junctions.

I went in a brief explore and came across the Rambla de Santa Cruz. Running down my head centre of the road is a long sloping walkway shaded by trees. At the top of the Rambla is a great cafe (inside the municipal park). If you just want a nice walk out of the sun this is the place.

A cool, shady experience as you meander along this attractive boulevard encountering many .interesting buildings and beautiful parks and plazas along the way. Do it as you progress to Garcia Sanabria park
