Walk from Puerto to the beach is gorgeous. You can feed the lizards with apple slices or bananas while walking. The spacious landscapes are so beautiful on the way. The beach appears almost unreal looking somewhere at the bottom. The waves are large in Playa Bollullo. The beach can not swim. So you can lie on a black sand, watching... More

This hidden beach is really awesome. You can walk there from Puerto/La Paz, but be prepared for some steep parts of the path. There is a fairly long stairway to access the beach. Gets your heart pumping on the way back up. Once you reach the beach you can enjoy clear water and dark fine grained sand. There is a... More

A lovely walk on a pleasant day. Through the banana fields and along the coast. You can make this a longer walk by looping up to the road and back to Puerta de la Cruz. Lots of stops for great photographs. There is a café on the beach but we don't often find it open.

The walk from Puerto de la Cruz is very nice with lots of different types of scenery. The beautiful black sand beach has a small beach bar and a lifeguard. Simply stunning place to spend a few hours.

This beach is absolutely stunning. From Puerto de la cruz it is about an hour hike, and it is more than worth it! The sand is soft and the beach is so clean. The water is good for playing in the waves, but currents are quite strong so be careful with kids. A beautiful hidden gem!

From the town take the path Camino Las Cabras to the right of the Martianez shopping centre. At the top of the steps turn left onto Calle San Amaro. Take in the view at Panorama El Mirador. Follow the path along the cliff edge past Restaurant Bellamar, Bellavista to Hotel Semiramis. Part of the path is being repaired so follow... More

This part of the island, very good for the surfers, is the one you can see landscapes cutting your breathing. My advise is to pass it, even for a short visit by car.

On a cloudy afternoon I took a walk along the coast to this beach. There is a short stretch past the road tunnel where you need to walk along the road but after this it then goes on to a coastal path through banana plantations. There are a couple of climbs and descents and a number of steps down to... More

Its well worth the walk from town to the beach. You will have to walk up and down some steep steps. There is a little shop/bar on the beach that was open when I visited.

This hidden beach is really lovely. You can walk here from Puerto/La Paz, but be prepared for some steep parts of the path. Alternatively you drive (direction El Rincon) and park at the restaurant just above the cliffs of the beach. There is still a fairly long stairway to access the beach why it is not recommended for disabled or... More
