Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We passed by here on our way from Puerto de la Cruz to the Teide Volcano. It is a beautiful area, full of greenery. Forest, from place to place, few houses, small agricultural lands, domestic animals from place to place.
I see that many people have posted reviews about the town of La Orotava, which is completely different thing.

Very nice nature with picturesque towns. I give 4/5 stars because if I had to choose I would rather visit Anaga Rural Park, but if you had time, both of them are really worth it!

Yes, we did have to mooch around a bit and it was only March but we found free parking with no limit. Slightly further out there are other car parks.

The town itself is very pretty. Lots of very old buildings, with “balconies” being the theme here. It was 32degrees and so the excellent ice cream shop in the town opposite the huge pink municipal building at the top of the cobbled Main Street was “a find”!

A large old church (or two or three) as you’d expect. Quaint little roads and alleys. An enjoyable hour or so of walking around. There are also museums and art galleries if you haven’t already walked 10km in Teide National Park 😁🥵

A walk round the old town with its balconies is worthwhile! Nice little shops and a great (if small) botanic garden as well as a lovely formal park.

I would not recommend visiting the town. Parking is impossible and we visited in December. I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer. Eventually we parked in a one hour parking spot and took a short walk through the town. It's more than likely there are lovely places to visit but you won't get to them in an hour. Waste of a day.

We love visiting this town only a short drive from Puerto de la Cruz. We enjoy visiting the Victoria Gardens which are immaculately kept and taking in the spectacular views from this hilly area. There are many places of interest, traditional buildings with wonderful balconies, many domes, and churches as well as flowers and trees. There are plenty of restaurants but we have a favorite - Cafeteria Venezia where the tapas are delicious and resonably priced.

A fantastic series of well marked trails take you through the forests and hills around Aguamansa. Shady on a cool day and links to local bus services.

We took the bus from Puerto de la Cruz, just a short journey but up, up, up hills. The town was lovely and there was plenty to see for such a short trip from our hotel.

Easy to get to Oratava from Puerto de La Cruz. Regular buses. Only draw back is there are no travel directions , maps or information boards at bus station. It is a small town so you will, eventually find it all yourself. But might be helpful to print out a map to make it easier when you get there.
